How Goodwins Theory Fits Our Music Video

Goodwins theory consists of three types of relations between songs and videos:
-Illustration: where the story tells the story of the lyric.
-Amplification:when the videos introduce new meanings that do not contradict with the lyrics but add layers of meaning.
-Disjuncture: this is where there is little connection between the lyric and video or where the video contradicts the lyric.

In our video we have amplification this is shown through a dutch tilt the artist on screen is seen clenching her fist and her eyes are closed this shows the emotion which goes with the lyric as she sings about needing her boyfriend.

We also have disjuncture at the end of the video when the chorus is playing the second time the artist is seen walking aimlessly around the road, here she doesn't sing the lyrics.
