Final blogging Task

I have completely finished my blog!! I have produced a music video, two ancillary products and I am done.

How does your A2 blog compare with your AS in terms of detail and use of ICT?
Compared to last year I think I blogging went well at first, I do believe that I did slow down on my blogging post this year but I managed to quickly catch up on my missing blogpost which you see on my feedback on progress review. This year I definitely went into much more detail also I learnt how to present my ideas on many different apps such as Powtoon, Slideboom, emaze which helped me present my ideas in effective ways. If you go through my blog you can see journey of researching, planning and the production of all my work. I think that we were gaps in my blogging work in my research but I believe I managed to quickly catch up and not fall behind. I have managed to do 100 individual blog posts.

What would you change, given another opportunity?
If I was to be given another opportunity to re do my blog, I would try to stay on top of work instead completing my work after my progress reviews. I would also do extra research on my project. I would also plan more. I think the key to success would be plan! This is because if we wouldn't planned better we may have not needed to re do so many scenes.

PLANNING ANCILLARY: Short list of fonts, colours, layout and design ideas.

Colours: Black, white and grey.
Black white and red.

Fonts: Using the font Abadi MT in extra bold on the artist name which was used at the beginning of the music album to show the link between the album, advertisement and music video. For the album name either GeoSansLight which is similar to Adele's album title writing or American Type writer.

Layout: The artists name will be on the top to show the audience clearly who the new artist is, underneath it will be the album title. On the front panel there will be a picture of Shardonnay looking directly at the camera which would help the audience connect with the artist. On the second panel in the middle will be the track list which would have the same font as the album title.

Advertisement: the ad will be landscape and feature the the front cover of the digipak also have a picture of her face so it creates more awareness of the upcoming artist to the audience. Also it will clearly show the artist name. And have the same colour scheme as the digipak which would link them both together.

Process of making Ancillary

Half way through I got feedback on my advertisement on whether to have the digipak in the middle on advert or to the side, The feedback I got was that it looked better on the side as it looks much more suited as all the information was to the side. Also looking at Adele's advert where info was all on the side I decided to have it on the side aswell since its conventional.

Short list of photos, Reasons why...

I have chosen to use this picture as she is looking directly at the camera this would engage the audience this is what is typical for new artist as Goodwin's theory explains because it is connecting with the audience and making the audience involved. She is wearing white as it links to the black and white theme I will be having. It also links to our music video because the clothing theme was also black and white. We have chosen to shoot in the studio because we wanted a plain background to work on in Photoshop (using magic wand), it would also look more professional and sophisticated feel.
